Mission Statement
Mission India Foundation is an institution which inspires and strives for the refinement of the democratic process of India, for which the common people and freedom fighters laid their lives.
Our mission is well integrated into the Indian values of selfless service, honesty, hard work, peace and tolerance. It will be our privilege to work and engage in unyielding quest to improve the quality of life of the rural population and poverty stricken urban population; specifically in the fields of health promotion, preventive health and education, both primary and higher education.
It is our goal to enhance the transparency of the various avenues of the great Indian democracy and educating the masses of the power of suffrage and choice, hence ensuring that common good and individual rights are preserved.
The time tested democracy and institutions of India would be buttressed if we infuse the sense of accountability and responsibility -an essential sign of a progressive society- combined with the traditional ideals of selfless service.
By connecting with like minded individuals, organizations, governments of various back ground, language, socioeconomic status, national integration would be fostered.
We would be steadfast in our mission: To educate each Indian that he/she has the great responsibility: help India to be a better democracy.
Introduction
Mission India Foundation (MIF) is a registered not-for profit organization working in India.
We are working in the areas of social and political reforms: It is a non-partisan group with an aim to work to bring about a better democracy and governance in our country. Our initial areas of focus is Haryana, Punjab and adjoining states. We seek socially-spirited individuals who feel that the politics in India has come to the lowest ebb and want to work to bring about a change. Since Independence, our political system has somehow become an example of "Revolving Door Democracy" and has been crippled with political sub-versions, maneuvers, and corruption : We intend to work through the mechanisms of democracy and strive to bring these issues into the focus and ask for remedial actions! Thus in the initial years at least, our practices may mainly be institutional: to study, research, and publish and take them to the public and concerned authorities and then follow-up!! In nutshell, the organization proposes to act as a non-partisan Pressure Group to press for the social and political rights of the citizens.
