1 . Village Empowerment Centre ( VEC):

 Starting July 1 of 2008, we have established our first Village Empowerment Centre in village Titram (Dist Kaithal, Haryana). The Gram Panchayat (Village Governing Council)  has magnanimously granted a building to MIF. A Library equipped with information technology has been established in this VEC.  The library has been named after eminent Hindi writer Munshi Premchand.  Currentluy we have a stock of about 500 books for the library and the facility has been liked by the local community. VEC Titram plans to work in other areas of rural upliftment with community participation.  Our focus areas will be girls' education, legal & constitutional literacy and training for self-employment for the rural youth.

We plan to start another VEC in Morni-Hills in Haryana in coming months and spade work is being done to establish many more VECs in different parts of Haryana.

2. Mission Democracy on Wheel (MDW):

A mobile van specially designated for the purpose-travels to various parts of Haryana, Punjab and adjoining states. We  conduct seminars, workshops, exhibitions in schools, colleges , universities to enlighten masses about the relevant  issues and raise debates.

NB: Project MDW is a chance to identify the issues and projects for the future also as research and advocacy are two integral components of our work.

3. Project SAMBHAV : (Social Action for Mobilization & Betterment of Human through Audio-Visuals)

 Sambhav has an archive of audio-visuals and screen documentaries on various socio-political-educational issues . Resource persons (including documentary makers) go and address the issues in schools,  colleges and village gatherings.
